A three-point turn is used to turn your car around on a road that is too narrow for a single turn.

When performing a three-point turn, you must:

  • signal left before stopping at the kerb

  • signal right before moving away from the kerb

  • check both directions before starting the turn

  • drive across to the opposite kerb

  • check both directions again before reversing

  • look in the direction you are reversing before and during reversing

  • after reversing, check both directions again before moving forward
